Join us today and become a Friend of GCR Rolling Stock Trust (FoGCRRST)

All our carriages are on the Historic ‘At Risk’ Register and each carries a remarkable story of survival.
The Trust cannot proceed towards its goal of bringing these vehicles back into running order, and provide you with the experience of ‘The Golden Age of Railway Travel’ – without your generous support and donations.
You can help by becoming a Friend of the GCR Rolling Stock Trust (FoGCRRST)
Becoming a ‘Friend’ entitles you to:
- Private invitations to view key stages of progress, supported by a knowledgeable guide with experience in restoration.
- An understanding of the impacts and effects these carriages had on the social developments of the time;
- An opportunity to be present on major Open Days, when the Barnums & other of our carriages are running behind a steam engine;
- Your free First Ride in a Barnum. Be treated to a journey along the mainline towards Loughborough – where the Barnums were known to travel;
- A regular NEWS LETTER describing restoration progress at key points in our work plan.
What do we hope to gain?
Your much-appreciated interest and the vital funds necessary to restore these magnificent carriages. If you are able to offer time and relevant experience – to become an active volunteer. We have a range of skilled members, covering the technical, electrical and decorative practices these carriages deserve. We would thoroughly enjoy sharing these skills with you, enabling your ‘Claim to Fame’ for contributing to their secure future.
Join us and together we can realise the dream of the Edwardian Railway and ride in luxury
