Welcome to News Letter No.5. Here’s a short synopsis of what we’ve been up to!
We’ve been busy this year bringing our historic Barnum carriages back to life! Recent work has focused on restoring the buffers (with some Edwardian-era surprises like leather fittings 🤯) and making sure everything’s safe and sound for future passengers.
Next up: brakes, electrics, heating, and water systems – all the essentials to get these beauties running again.
We also loved meeting so many of you at the Rail200 celebrations in July – our 3rd Class 6-wheeler at Rothley turned heads and sparked lots of excitement for the day when the Barnums return to the rails.
🙌 Thanks for your continued support – every bit of help gets us closer to seeing these historic carriages rolling again!
